Kafona Team Triumphs in Sports and Cultural Event with 2-1 Victory

K©n©dougou: The Morolaba Basic Education District (CEB) wrapped up its sports, cultural, and recreational activities on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the municipal grounds with the Kafona team emerging victorious in the football final, defeating Morolaba "A" with a score of 2 goals to 1.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event bore the theme "Sport and Culture in Schools: Levers of Unity and Cohesion for a High-Performing and Resilient School." It was held under the patronage of the President of the Special Delegation of the Morolaba commune, Germain Mien, and sponsored by Dr. Abou Dao, represented by Zoumana Dao.

In the sporting arena, the Kafona team's victory secured them a trophy, a ball, sets of jerseys, and a cash prize of 20,000 FCFA. Meanwhile, in women's handball, the Samogossoba team overcame Morolaba "A" to clinch their title, receiving a trophy, jerseys, and an envelope containing 20,000 FCFA. The runner-up team was awarded 15,000 FCFA along with jerseys.

Cultural activities during the event included performances of playback, traditional dance, recital, and drawing. The top three participants in each discipline were awarded prizes of 3,000 FCFA, 2,000 FCFA, and 1,000 FCFA respectively.
