Kadiogo: On the evening of Friday, March 28, 2025, the Special Delegation and the youth of the rural commune of Saaba organized a collective breaking of fasting and Lent. The event highlighted a spirit of unity and cooperation among different religious communities.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony began at 5 p.m. with the Catholic community meditating on the Stations of the Cross. This was a significant part of the event, reflecting the religious observance of Lent by the Catholic community.
After the religious service was over, two worshippers came to help their Muslim brothers spread out the mats and carry the ablution water in preparation for the Maghreb prayer. This act symbolized the cooperation and mutual respect between the communities.
The event demonstrated that despite differing religious beliefs, people remain united as daughters and sons of Burkina Faso. This interreligious dialogue serves as a meaningful example of harmony and collaboration in the region.
