Kadiogo: Mariam S©r© successfully defended her master's thesis in performing arts and artistic creation, specializing in cultural management, before a three-member jury on Friday in Ouagadougou. Her study focuses on the management strategies of sculptors at the Ouagadougou Craft Village. Through this research, she aims to contribute to the preservation of Burkinab¨ sculptors' expertise and the promotion of cultural tourism.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Mariam S©r© stated that this study will be further investigated before the final document is submitted. The thesis supervisor, Ignace Sangar©, explained that the study's objective was to analyze the management strategies of the sculptors at the Ouagadougou Craft Village. The research employed methodological tools that allowed it to delve into the realities in order to formulate suggestions and proposals for improving the Craft Village's management system.
Mr. Sangar© also emphasized that this study will enable the Ouagadougou Craft Village to revise its overall policy for managing and promoting its artisans. He recommended that the applicant further explore certain aspects related to the management of artisans at the Ouagadougou Artisan Village.
Following the deliberations, Mariam S©r© obtained a grade of 14/20 with the distinction "Good".
