Ouagadougou: The Burkina Faso junior national football team, known as the Stallions, visited the Faso Mebo site in Ouagadougou on Monday, where they donated 635,000 FCFA as part of their involvement in national construction projects.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the U17 Stallions, who reached the quarter-finals, along with their coaching staff, exhibited their support for the presidential initiative by donating 36 cans of lubricating oil valued at 635,000 CFA francs. This gesture was announced by the Burkina Faso Football Federation.
The federation further detailed that the team's contribution extended beyond the donation. Oscar Barro, the U17 coach, along with his colleagues and players, actively took part in aggregate collection efforts at the site. Coach Barro emphasized the team's commitment by stating, "We donated oil to keep the engines running and cement to contribute to the production of paving stones to beautify our country."
