Freetown: Sierra Leone's President Julius Maada Bio touched down in Austria's capital on Wednesday for the International Vienna Energy and Climate Forum (IVECF). He will deliver remarks on Mission 300-an initiative expanding electricity access across Africa. The forum runs from the 9th to the 10th of April, 2026. According to Sierra Leone News Agency, President Bio's speech promises to shape critical dialogues around green industrialisation and climate-resilient power solutions. These elements prove vital for just transitions, stability, resilience, and shared prosperity within Least Developed Countries and Landlocked Developing Countries. On the sidelines of Vienna, the President plans high-level meetings alongside the main Energy and Climate Summit proceedings. IVECF represents a premier global platform where policymakers, innovators, experts, and young leaders converge to advance sustainable development and climate action. Joining this significant assembly, Bio stands as an international statesman, cham pioning Africa's call for meaningful investment and genuine partnership.
