Amman: Jordanian Prime Minister Jafar Hassan and Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa stressed the importance of consolidating the Gaza ceasefire and deploying an international stabilization force in Gaza during their meeting on Tuesday. The leaders highlighted the growing international recognition of the State of Palestine as a critical step towards peace and stability in the region.
According to Namibia Press Agency, during the talks, Hassan reiterated Jordan's steadfast support for the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights, emphasizing the need for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state. He assured that Jordan would continue its humanitarian efforts in Gaza, including medical and relief assistance via field hospitals, the "Restoring Hope" initiative, and treatment for injured children and cancer patients. Hassan also expressed backing for the reform initiatives led by the Palestinian Authority and highlighted the significance of bolstering Palestinian resilience.
Hassan firmly rejected any threats, repression, or aggression by Israel and Israeli settlers against Palestinians.
