Italy’s Jannik Sinner, the top seed, secured a victory against compatriot Luca Nardi with straight sets of 6-4, 6-3, 6-0. In the women’s singles, Katerina Siniakova of the Czech Republic surprised the fifth seed Zheng Qinwen from China with a three-set victory. Russia’s Mirra Andreeva maintained her form, defeating Egypt’s Mayar Sherif in straight sets. Notably, Dayana Yastremska from Ukraine achieved a significant win over the second seed Coco Gauff from the United States, with scores of 7-6 (3), 6-1.
