Jacaranda FC and Kingandole Girls Triumph at Butula NGCDF Soccer Tournament

Butula, Kenya – The Butula National Government Constituency Development Fund (NGCDF) soccer tournament concluded on Tuesday with Jacaranda FC and Kingandole Girls emerging as champions in their respective categories.

According to Kenya News Agency, secured the men’s title with a narrow 1-0 victory over Bumutiru. The match, which took place at the Kingandole Secondary School grounds, was a display of skill and strategy that culminated in Jacaranda FC’s triumph. Captain Alfred Wesonga credited their win to the team’s cohesive effort and determination, as well as the effective game plan laid out by their coaching staff.

The women’s final was equally competitive, with Kingandole Girls overcoming Elukhari Girls in penalties. After a 1-1 draw in regulation time, Kingandole clinched a 4-2 win, thanks in part to goalkeeper Violet Akinyi’s crucial penalty saves.

The successful tournament was praised by Kingandole Principal Mr. Muli, who expressed gratitude towards Butula NG-CDF patron Hon. Joseph Oyula for his support in fostering local football talent.

The victorious teams are now preparing for the upcoming regional games scheduled to start on November 15th at the Mumias complex. These matches will feature 16 constituencies playing in a knockout format. Butula Sports chairman Abel Otele revealed that a combined team of boys and girls from the constituency began their seven-day training camp at St Catherine Special School in anticipation of the competition.

Otele also recognized Hon. Joseph Oyula’s significant contribution of three buses to transport supporters and players to the upcoming regional games, showcasing the Member of Parliament’s commitment to promoting sports in the area.

To represent Butula at the regional level, 18 players from both boys’ and girls’ teams have been selected, ready to carry the hopes of their constituency onto the larger stage.
