Issoufou Bidiga, from the Canadian Diaspora, Donates 15 Tons of Cement to Faso Mebo

Tenkodogo: Issoufou Bidiga, a member of the Canadian diaspora, has donated 15 tons of cement to the Faso Mebo initiative. The High Commissioner of Boulgou Province, Domegbeguiere Constantin Dabire, presided over a ceremony in Tenkodogo on Thursday to mark the occasion. Following the donation, a visit to the construction sites of the presidential initiative Faso Mebo was conducted, highlighting the commitment to local development and national efforts.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the High Commissioner of Boulgou expressed gratitude for the donation, describing it as “highly symbolic and full of hope.” Domegbeguiere Constantin Dabire conveyed appreciation for the 15 tons of cement and the active participation of the donor and his family in the development efforts.

The province’s official used the ceremony to call upon the residents of Boulgou to follow the donor’s example and contribute to the development and beautification of their cities.

Issoufou Bidiga, originally from Kombinatenga in the commune of Garango and now residing in Montreal, explained the significance of his contribution. He emphasized that the donation aligns with ongoing efforts to support appeals made by Burkina Faso’s highest authorities. Bidiga recalled past contributions, such as responding to peace efforts by purchasing shares in APEC with his family and friends.

He also encouraged the Burkinabe diaspora to remain connected with their homeland and contribute to its growth, stating, “No one will love Burkina Faso more than its sons and daughters.” He concluded with blessings for the nation.

After the ceremony, the High Commissioner and his delegation visited the Faso Mebo construction sites in Tenkodogo to assess the progress of the work.
