BEIRUT — The Israeli army escalated its airstrikes on Beirut’s southern suburbs, particularly targeting the areas of Bourj Barajneh, Haret Hreik, and Lailaky in Dahieh on Tuesday night, causing substantial destruction and displacing local residents.
According to Namibia Press Agency, the strikes were part of an ongoing series of daily attacks aimed at Hezbollah-associated buildings and businesses. The latest aerial assault resulted in the destruction of four buildings in Bourj Barajneh alone, as confirmed by Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency. Television footage from the scene showed massive fires engulfing the areas, adding to the devastation.
The intensifying military campaign by Israel across Lebanon has been focused on what it labels Hezbollah targets since September 23. This extended period of airstrikes has inflicted significant casualties and led to the displacement of hundreds of thousands of people throughout Lebanon, as residents flee the heavily bombarded zones seeking safety.
