Israel/Hamas Conflict: UN Pays Heavy Price with 241 Employees Killed in the Gaza Strip.

Gaza: Since the start of the war in the Gaza Strip, the UN has lost 241 employees killed in the fighting in the Gaza Strip, the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said, reported by TASS.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the report highlighted that 237 of the casualties were from staff of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA). The World Health Organization (WHO) and the Office for Project Services, UN Department of Safety and Security each reported the loss of one staff member.

Furthermore, 326 workers from various international humanitarian organizations have also lost their lives in Gaza, which includes 33 volunteers from the Palestinian Red Cross.

The conflict began with a massive attack by the Palestinian group Hamas on October 7, 2023, in Israeli territory. This attack led to immediate reprisals against the Gaza Strip, as well as in Syrian and Lebanese territories.
