Banwa: The Islamic women of Solenzo donated 215,000 FCFA to the VDP: The Islamic women of Solenzo have made a significant contribution to the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) by donating 215,000 FCFA. This gesture was made to support the local efforts in combating terrorism.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the donation was officially handed over on Friday, December 26, 2025, at the prefecture of Solenzo. The event was attended by provincial authorities, members of the security forces (FDS), and the VDP. Zara Ouedraogo, representing the donors, emphasized the purpose of the donation as a means to bolster the morale and strength of the VDP in their ongoing fight against terrorism.

Ouedraogo expressed the collective effort behind the donation, stating, "We contributed voluntarily, and that's what allowed us to raise this modest sum to let the VDP know that we are with them, day and night, until the end of terrorism."

The High Commissioner of Banwa Province, Sanfienale Joseph Sirima, accepted the donation on behalf of the VDP. He later presented it to the VDP coordinator, acknowledging the importance of this support. Sirima also congratulated the women on their contribution, describing it as a call to action for the entire population to join forces against terrorism.
