Isinya, Kajiado County – Kajiado East Member of Parliament, Kakuta Ole Maimai, has initiated a significant educational development in Isinya by laying the foundation stone for the town’s first day secondary school.
According to Kenya News Agency, the construction of Isinya Township Day Secondary School is a strategic step towards achieving his goal of establishing a secondary school in every location within the constituency. The MP highlighted the project’s intent to ensure a 100% transition rate to secondary education for children in Isinya and surrounding areas.
Ole Maimai expressed his commitment to educational inclusivity, emphasizing the importance of accessible education for all, regardless of economic background. He announced plans to reduce the cost of secondary education in day schools, aiming to lower fees from Ksh 5,000 to Ksh 3,000 per term. This reduction is expected to facilitate universal enrollment in the constituency. The MP called on parents from Majengo and Isinya to engage with and benefit from the forthcoming Isinya Day Secondary School, which promises to offer accessible and affordable education.
