Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso — The Islamic Republic of Iran has publicly condemned the recent terrorist attack in Barsalgho, Burkina Faso, expressing solidarity and compassion towards the victims and the Burkinabe people.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, the attack, which occurred last Saturday, August 24, in the commune of Barsalogho, resulted in significant loss of human life. "The Islamic Republic of Iran condemns the terrorist attack of last Saturday, August 24 in the commune of Barsalogho in Burkina Faso, which caused loss of human life," Kanani stated.

Mr. Kanani extended condolences on behalf of the Iranian people to the Burkinabe government and the families of the victims, also wishing a speedy recovery to those injured in the attack.
