Ipelce Launches Sports and Cultural Activities at Primary School for 2026 Session

Ipelce: The basic education district of the commune of Ipelce officially launched its sports and cultural activities at the primary school on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, in Ipelce. Several activities marked this launch ceremony. The city of Ipelce vibrated to the rhythm of sport, culture, and commitment to quality education on Wednesday, January 21, on the occasion of the official launch of the sports and cultural activities, 2026 session of the Basic Education District (CEB) of the said commune. According to Burkina Information Agency, the event was placed under the theme: "Fulfillment and excellence through sport and culture in a reforming school". This opening ceremony marked a highlight of the school and community life of the municipality. For CEB chief Prosper Nonguierma, the objective is to make sport and culture essential pillars of children's education in order to promote their development, reveal talents and strengthen the sense of belonging to the nation. The launch ceremony was held under the bl essing of Naaba Saonre, chief of Ipelce. Several activities were on the program for the launch ceremony, which saw a massive turnout of education stakeholders, students, and residents of Ipelce. This includes a parade of primary schools and preschools, an aerobics session, and artistic and cultural performances by students. In addition to these activities, a friendly football match took place between the Sandeba school and the Ipelce "A" school, which ended with a score of 2 goals to 1 in favor of the Sandeba school. The people of Ipelce turned out in large numbers to follow all the sporting and cultural activities that took place throughout the day. According to CEB officials, the competitions which will begin in the coming days will be marked by inter-school football matches, oral expression competitions, culinary arts competitions, as well as academic excellence competitions. The culmination of all these competitions is scheduled for May 6, 2026, the organizers indicated.
