The rain from the night of Saturday August 12 to Sunday August 13 submerged the D jikologo-Dissihn section of National Road 20 and caused the interruption of road traffic.
Following the heavy rain that fell during the night of Saturday August 12 to Sunday August 13, 2023, a bridge on the national road (RN) 20 was submerged in water.
The bridge is located at the eastern exit about one kilometer from Djikologo on the Djikologo–Dissihn axis.
The river overflowed its bed for more than 200 meters in some places. The circulation was interrupted while waiting for the quantity of water to decrease in order to see the beacons of the bridge.
According to the provincial director of road infrastructures of Ioba, Ousséni Diarra joined by telephone, it is likely that it is part of the waters of the Mouhoun river which would have filled and which flowed into this river.
Traffic is currently heavy on this route because of the feast of the Assumption on August 15, which is well celebrated in Dissihn and the sub-region each year.
For the moment, it is recommended to users of this road to observe caution to avoid any inconvenience.
