Ioba Province Records Increased Success in 2024 Baccalauréat Exams


IOBA — The Ioba province has reported a significant increase in the baccalauréat success rate, rising from 42.26% in 2023 to 57.56% in 2024, reflecting considerable academic improvements across the region.



According to Burkina Information Agency, a total of 1,409 candidates, including 570 girls and 839 boys, participated in the 2024 baccalauréat examinations, spanning two academic series, A4 and D. The province saw 811 of these candidates achieve passing marks, culminating in the overall success rate of 57.56%. This marks a notable improvement over the previous year’s rate. Specifically, female candidates achieved a 55.09% success rate with 314 passes, while male candidates recorded a 59.24% success rate with 497 passes.



Further breakdown of the results shows that candidates from series A4 excelled with a 66.57% success rate, whereas those from series D had a lower success rate of 48.11%. Additionally, the Saint Tarsicius minor seminary of Ligwaré achieved a 100% pass rate, with all 14 candidates successfully passing the exam.
