Ioba High Commissioner Calls for Emphasis on Peace and Social Cohesion in 2024

Dano, Burkina Faso – In a New Year’s address on December 30, 2023, Bernadette Adenyo née Sermé, the High Commissioner of Ioba province, urged the local population to prioritize peace, social cohesion, and mutual respect in their daily interactions.



According to Burkina Information Agency, Adenyo reflected on the challenges and achievements of the past year. She extended her gratitude to various community actors for their contributions towards the development of the Ioba province. Acknowledging the loss of community members, she offered condolences to the families of the deceased and honored their memory.



Adenyo expressed appreciation to religious and customary authorities, women, youth, traders, and private sector stakeholders for their efforts throughout 2023. She recognized their roles in the development of the province and emphasized the need for continued work to achieve the community’s objectives.



The High Commissioner also thanked those who contributed to the patriotic support fund in the past year. She called on all active forces in Ioba to redouble their efforts in the ongoing fight for progress, maintaining vigilance and cooperation for a collective victory.



Highlighting the importance of peace and social cohesion as the foundation for individual actions, Adenyo expressed her desire for a peaceful and prosperous 2024 in Burkina Faso.
