Dano: The municipality of Dano, in collaboration with the Wend-Penga OR Company (SO.WP OR), organized a driving license award ceremony for 32 young individuals. The event, which took place on Thursday, May 29, 2025, was overseen by the president of the special municipal delegation, Denis Zanr©.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the driving license initiative was spearheaded by Wend-Penga OR in partnership with Dano’s special municipal delegation. The program enabled 32 young participants to receive training at Africa Auto-©cole, successfully passing their exams to earn category C driving licenses.
The license award ceremony was attended by notable figures including the Dano canton chief, a representative of the CEO of SO.WP OR, an instructor from Africa Auto-©cole, and members of the defense and security forces. Beneficiary representative Winb¨lou Dabir© expressed gratitude to the municipal authorities and SO.WP OR’s head, El Adj Boukary Ou©draogo, also known as Wobgo, for their dedication to youth employment.
“I would like to ask the Wend-Penga OR company to recruit young drivers so that we do not lose the skills we have acquired,” Dabir© stated. His Majesty Naonfa II applauded the positive relationship between the municipality and the mining company and encouraged beneficiaries to seek employment using their new qualifications.
Driving school instructor Daouda Bouda shared satisfaction with the program’s execution, noting the absence of major challenges. Denis Zanr©, the Departmental Director of Driving for Dano, expressed the special delegation’s appreciation for the CEO of SO.WP OR’s generosity and commitment to youth employment.
“With this permit, you can have a job to support your families and contribute to the development of the community,” Zanr© told the new license holders. He emphasized the civic responsibility of Wend-Panga OR and expressed hope for future initiatives. Zanr© urged the beneficiaries to be exemplary and responsible drivers to ensure safety on the roads.
