Tenkodogo: The transport company K©r© Emmanuel handed over a donation of 15 tons of cement and 15 cartons of sugar to the Muslim community of Tenkodogo on Thursday to support the construction of the city's grand mosque and on the occasion of the fast.
According to Burkina Information Agency, this gesture by Emmanuel K©r©, estimated at over 2.5 million CFA francs, is part of a dynamic of support for community initiatives and promotion of peaceful coexistence between religious denominations. The donation ceremony took place in the presence of the Grand Imam of Tenkodogo, El Hadj Mamoudou Sana, the President of the Muslim Community, El Hadj Boukar© Koudougou, as well as members of the committee in charge of the construction of the mosque and many faithful.
Representing the donor, the director of the transport company K©r© Emmanuel, Ms. Alima Parkouda, indicated that this gesture was made on the instructions of the company's general manager. "I am Alima Parkouda, representative of the transport company K©r© Emmanuel. The general manager, who is from the region, wanted to make this gesture during this period of Lent in order to support the Muslim community," she explained.
According to her, this contribution reflects the donor's commitment to the values of solidarity and living together. "It is with the mandate of the Director General, Mr. Emmanuel K©r©, that we came to deliver this donation. Through this gesture, he wishes to demonstrate his commitment to the values of solidarity, sharing and good coexistence between the different religious communities," she stated. Ms. Parkouda specified that the donation consists of 15 tons of cement intended for the construction work of the mosque and 15 cartons of sugar, for an estimated value of more than 2,500,000 CFA francs.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the committee in charge of the construction of the mosque, Abdoul Razack Ou©draogo welcomed the donor's initiative. "We are very pleased to receive this morning this donation of 15 tons of cement and 15 cartons of sugar. We thank the donor for this gesture," he said. Mr. Ou©draogo also invited the sons and daughters of the locality, as well as nationals living outside the country, to support community development actions. "We invite all the sons and daughters of the locality, residents as well as members of the diaspora, to follow in the footsteps of Emmanuel K©r©," he declared.
According to him, the donor, a native of the town and resident of Gabon, has already distinguished himself in several social initiatives. He has notably contributed to the creation of two nursery schools, a private high school and a transport company. Through this contribution, Emmanuel K©r© supports the mosque construction project and reaffirms his commitment to living together and peaceful coexistence between religious communities, values deeply rooted in the region.
