LAONGO: After 21 days of intense creativity and labor, sculptors from nine countries have unveiled their granite masterpieces at the International Symposium of Granite Sculptures in Laongo. The event, which culminated in a closing ceremony, saw the production of approximately fifteen works of art addressing themes such as peace, social cohesion, unity, and wisdom.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the symposium has bolstered the country’s tourism offerings by attracting international artists and visitors. Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, Minister of State, Minister of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism, commended the artists and the organizers for a successful 14th edition of the symposium. In his closing remarks on October 24, he expressed contentment with the event’s organization and the artistic contributions made.
