Namentenga: An internally displaced person, native of the locality, handed over food and oil on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 to 20 people deemed indigent in the village of Kogsablogo, in the commune of Dargo, in the presence of the representative of the president of the special delegation, Roland Sawadogo.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the donation from the benefactor, Issouf Ou©da, a gold miner and son of the village, consisted of 20 fifty-kilogram bags of rice and 20 three-liter cans of oil. It aimed to provide assistance to his vulnerable relatives.
The donation was received the same day by the first vice-president of the special delegation of Dargo, representing the president of said delegation, Roland Sawadogo. Mr. Sawadogo welcomed the gesture and encouraged those willing to help to organize themselves into associations in order to increase the impact of their charitable actions. He thanked the benefactor for this act of solidarity and urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the donation.
The patron of the ceremony, the Dapoor Naaba of Lillougou, also praised the initiative and urged the sons and daughters of Kogsablogo to follow suit in order to strengthen the resilience of the population. According to the donor's representative, Alain Zidouemba, this action is motivated by Issouf Ou©da's sensitivity to the precarious situation of local populations.
The spokesperson for the beneficiaries, Jean-Baptiste Zidouemba, for his part expressed his gratitude to the donor and offered wishes for prosperity for his activities.
