Interior Ministry Calls for Reinforcement of Professional Ethics Among Migration Services Staff

Luanda: The provincial delegate of the Ministry of Interior in Bi©, Ant³nio de Ros¡rio Neto, has called upon the staff of the Foreign Migration Services (SME) to strengthen their commitment to discipline, ethics, and professional deontology in carrying out their duties. This appeal was made during the closing ceremony marking the 50th anniversary of the SME, which was celebrated on April 19th.

According to Angola Press News Agency, Ant³nio de Ros¡rio Neto emphasized that adherence to these principles is essential for meeting the objectives of the executive body associated with the Ministry of the Interior, as outlined by the Angolan State. These objectives focus particularly on ensuring border security and effective migration control. Neto highlighted the need for SME staff to cultivate a culture of legality and institutional discipline. This effort aims to combat indecent conduct that contravenes national regulations, thereby ensuring greater rigor, responsibility, and credibility in their mission execution.

Additionally, the provincial commander of the National Policy in Bi© has called for enhanced monitoring efforts and increased awareness campaigns to combat illegal immigration practices. Ant³nio de Ros¡rio Neto indicated that such initiatives should be coordinated with other defense and security bodies to strengthen the culture of reporting, which is vital in tackling illegal immigration and associated crimes.
