BASKOUR‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬°: Municipal officials and community leaders in the commune of Baskour© have officially validated the Integrated Community Development Plan (PDIC) of the REDD+ project, which allocates 300,000,000 CFA francs for local development initiatives from 2025 to 2027. The plan received unanimous approval during a meeting held on December 28, 2024.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the project has been welcomed by community figures, including the customary chief of the village of To©ssin, who highlighted the anticipated benefits for local agriculture, particularly through new drilling projects aimed at facilitating gardening and off-season crops. The chief underscored the importance of community acceptance and commitment to the project’s success.
Viviane Kima/Nademb¨ga, president of the women of the commune, expressed optimism about the transformative potential of the project for women. She urged local women to actively participate and collaborate to ensure the project’s success, emphasizing that collective efforts could effectively address their challenges and contribute to the broader development of Baskour©.
The secretary general of the Baskour© town hall, Idriss Sanon, called on residents to support and engage with the project implementers, aiming for a successful execution that could position the municipality favorably in terms of development outcomes.
