Ouagadougou: Members of the Government visited the production site of the presidential initiative “Faso Mªbo” at the former Phillipe Zinda Kabor© high school in Ouagadougou this Saturday, May 31, 2025. Led by Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ou©draogo, the ministers aimed to encourage the initiative’s coordinator and team to achieve greater results.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Government actively supports this initiative by President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, with the objective of transforming Burkina Faso’s major cities. Adopted by the Council of Ministers in October 2024, “Faso Mªbo” seeks to beautify, improve sanitation, and enhance urbanization in strategic areas.

At the site, the Prime Minister and his delegation inspected the stockpiles of production inputs, including cement, sand, and crushed quartz. They participated in mixing the mortar for paving molds, showing enthusiasm alongside the workers at the “Faso Mªbo” factory.

The ministers made a symbolic gesture by donating 150 tonnes of cement to “Faso Mªbo” to support its work.

After visiting the paving stone manufacturing site, Government members went to Avenue du Burkina to lay paving stones, demonstrating the call for citizens to engage in the country’s transformation.

“Faso Mªbo is a call to every citizen of Burkina Faso. We must rise and contribute to building the country. The popular and progressive revolution requires concrete action. We must be actors, not passive witnesses,” stated the Head of Government.

He emphasized that the momentum in Ouagadougou is set to spread nationwide. “The goal is to build, with our resources and genius, a more beautiful and resilient Burkina Faso.”

The pilot phase of “Faso Mªbo” in Ouagadougou is showing visible results, with main roads adorned with new paving stones. This initiative is becoming a citizens’ movement at the highest government levels, aiming to make every Burkinab¨ a nation builder.
