INDRA Secures Contract for Technological Solutions in 2027 Elections

Luanda: Manuel Camati, the spokesperson of the National Electoral Commission (CNE), announced that the company INDRA has won the public tender to provide technological solutions for the 2027 general elections. This announcement marks a significant step in the preparations for the upcoming electoral process.

According to Angola Press News Agency, INDRA has been selected to handle the logistics for the 2027 elections. The CNE spokesperson highlighted that the selection process was part of a broader meeting aimed at evaluating and discussing various aspects of the commission's operations and the organization of the nation's next electoral cycle.

Camati further elaborated that the plenary session focused on a proposed directive to establish electoral administration bodies within the New Political-Administrative Division framework. This initiative aims to align the electoral structure with the newly implemented territorial reorganization.

The CNE has conducted 10 public tenders to contract both national and international entities to supply the necessary resources for the preparation and execution of the 2027 general elections. This effort underscores the commission's commitment to ensuring a smooth and efficient electoral process.

For over three decades, the CNE, which succeeded the National Elections Commission established in 1992, has been at the forefront of organizing electoral activities. During this period, five elections have been conducted, providing citizens the opportunity to elect their leaders.
