Ouagadougou: An individual has made a significant contribution to the security efforts in Djibo by donating 15 ALOBA motorcycles to the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP). This donation, made on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, aims to bolster the ongoing efforts to maintain security in the region.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the motorcycles were handed over in a ceremony attended by the prefects of Baraboul©, T. F©lix Zoehinga, and of Tongomayel, Idrissa Koumtoubr©, alongside local authorities. The gesture was acknowledged on behalf of the High Commissioner of Soum Province, Wend N©r© Wilfried Tougma, with the prefects expressing profound gratitude to the donor for their support of the FDS and VDP’s challenging daily operations.
The motorcycles are intended to enhance the mobility and intervention capabilities of the security forces on the ground. This donation represents a commitment from the community of Soum to actively support the pursuit of peace and security within the region.
