The Government informs national opinion that an individual with a suspicious device was apprehended on August 25, 2023 at the Cité des 1200 Logements in Ouagadougou. The first elements of the investigation showed the absence of explosive substances on this person.

The Government commends the vigilance of the citizens which made it possible to detect this suspicious case and to the security services to take all the appropriate measures to deal with any eventuality.

The Government urges people to remain very vigilant and to denounce anyone with suspicious activity or behavior.

The Government reassures the population that all the competent services are hard at work to thwart the enemy’s traps and ensure peace and security for our people.
