Inauguration of China-Financed Integrated Technological Training Center in Angola

HUAMBO – The Integrated Technological Training Center (CINFOTEC) in Huambo was inaugurated by Angolan President João Lourenço on January 12. Funded by China, this 20,000 square meter facility is dedicated to providing technical and professional training to Angolans, with a capacity to train 2,400 students annually.

According to Africa News Agency, The center, equipped with 30 laboratories, including advanced facilities for robotics, is part of Angola’s efforts to enhance technological skills among its citizens. Geraldo Pambasange, the director of CINFOTEC, acknowledged China’s significant contribution to the project. This development marks another milestone in China’s ongoing engagement in Africa’s technological advancement. CINFOTEC in Huambo represents the third facility of its kind in Angola, underlining the country’s commitment to strengthening its technological and vocational training capabilities.
