Inaugural Dozo Brotherhood Days Begin in Sindou, Léraba


SINDOU – On Friday, April 19, 2024, the first edition of the Dozo Brotherhood Days was officially launched by Mahamadi Congo, the High Commissioner of Léraba Province. The event, held in Sindou, saw participation from Dozo representatives across the sub-region including Ivory Coast and Mali, focusing on enhancing cooperation among local security forces.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the central police commissioner in Sindou and the event’s communicator, the conference was organized under the theme “Dozo Brotherhood and FDS/VDP: Collaboration Mechanisms for Synergy in Combatting Insecurity and Reclaiming Territory.” Discussions at the event addressed various issues such as the need for better protection of informants and reduction of corruption within the forces.



Yaya Koné, president of the Dozo Brotherhood of Léraba, stressed the importance of legalizing weapon possession among the Dozos to ensure compliance with national laws. The event concluded with a commitment from all parties to improve collaboration and effectiveness in security operations, aiming to foster a safer environment for the community.
