The newspaper says that the year 2023 marks the thirtieth anniversary of World Press Freedom Day.

Three decades in which there has been progress, but also lows. The proliferation of free media in many countries and the rise of new technologies have made it possible to streamline the transmission of information.

The newspaper informs that every May 3 is celebrated the world day of press freedom.

He adds that on the occasion of this celebration, professional media organizations and press organs that have signed this declaration are drawing the attention of the Malian and Burkinabè authorities to the violations of this freedom.

On this same subject Le Pays displays on its headline, taking up the words of the politician Roland Goungounga, “Freedom of the press in Burkina Faso is violated”.
