Iipinge Hands Over 50 Chairs to Ekuku Primary School to Enhance Learning Conditions

Oshakati: Oshana Governor Hofni Iipinge on Thursday handed over 50 chairs to Ekuku Primary School in Oshakati. The donation was provided by Ondangwa-based company Roam Manufacturing to improve learning and teaching conditions at the school.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Iipinge stated at the handover ceremony that the donation is part of ongoing efforts by the regional leadership to support quality education and enhance learning conditions for learners. He emphasized the importance of strengthening the foundation for the young generation, who are the leaders of tomorrow. Iipinge assured that they would continue to assist the Ministry of Education through the Office of the Governor by distributing learning and teaching materials, especially furniture, to create a conducive environment for learners. He stressed the need to ensure that learners in Namibia do not have to sit on the floor or on stones.

In a speech delivered on behalf of the school, head girl Beverly Gotlieb expressed appreciation for the donation, noting it would significantly improve the learning environment. She highlighted that proper seating allows learners to sit comfortably, concentrate better, and participate fully in class, which in turn motivates them to work harder and achieve their goals.

Gotlieb also remarked that the donation reflects the governor's commitment to education and the well-being of learners. She expressed gratitude for the governor's support, emphasizing that it shows a deep care for education and the learners' well-being. She assured that the students would take care of the chairs and use them responsibly, honoring the donation by showing discipline, respect, and commitment to their studies.
