ICIEC and BOAD Partner to Boost Investments in West Africa at COP28

Africa – During the 28th Conference of the Parties (COP 28), the Islamic Corporation for the Insurance of Investment and Export Credit (ICIEC) and the West African Development Bank (BOAD) entered into a strategic partnership. The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed by both entities focuses on promoting large-scale investments and fostering economic and social development across their common member states.

According to Africa News Agency, the collaboration will center around ICIEC providing insurance and credit enhancement solutions. This initiative is designed to support BOAD’s financing operations in the member states shared by both organizations. Serge EKUE, President of BOAD, affirmed the commitment to this partnership.
