Mouhoun: The coordination of citizen watch associations in Bondokuy, in collaboration with the commune's residents, inaugurated the "Roundabout of the Revolution Captain Ibrahim Traor©" on Thursday, May 8, 2025. The event was held under the patronage of Souleymane Nakanabo, High Commissioner of Mouhoun Province, and sponsored by the National Union of Cotton Producers of Burkina.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the roundabout's foundation stone was laid on January 2, 2025, marking the beginning of this symbolic project. The inauguration ceremony saw local residents, along with several dignitaries, participating in the singing of the national anthem and the raising of the colors, symbolizing resilience and victory.
G©d©on Tambo©, the communal coordinator of Bondoukuy's citizen watch, stated that the roundabout serves as a recognition and honor to Captain Ibrahim Traor© and his predecessors for their efforts in the fight for the oppressed peoples of Africa. Tambo© emphasized the importance of unity and solidarity in ensuring lasting peace, urging the community to support the ideals of Captain Traor©.
High Commissioner Souleymane Nakanabo praised the resilience of Bondoukuy's residents and commended the citizen watch for their choice of the monument's model, which he described as a symbol of the revolution's rebirth. He highlighted the success of Bondoukuy's liberation and acknowledged the artist's work as a testament to the community's support for Traor©'s ideals.
Zohu© Kot©, representing the UNPCB and the ceremony's sponsor, expressed gratitude to the President of Faso for his contributions to the agricultural sector, particularly the cotton industry. Kot© assured the farming community of the UNPCB's support for initiatives that align with the current governmental goals.
Additionally, a mission officer from the presidency for the Boucle du Mouhoun region praised the patriotic commitment of Bondoukuy's community members and encouraged prioritizing social dialogue over disinformation efforts.
