Hundreds March in Ghana to Support Captain Ibrahim Traor© on Africa Day

Ouagadougou: Hundreds of young people from various African countries residing in Ghana participated in a solidarity march called 'March with Traor©,' in support of Captain Ibrahim Traor© and the people of Burkina Faso. The event took place on Africa Day and was organized to express solidarity with the Burkinabe president's vision for his nation's economic and political sovereignty.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the march was led by the pan-Africanist movement Economic League Fighters. The movement aims to highlight Captain Traor©'s commitment to sovereignty and self-management for African nations. Raphael Williams, the coordinator of the movement, emphasized the importance of African unity against external influences. He stated that Africa must demonstrate its ability to manage its affairs independently and warned against the fate of past African leaders, urging support for Captain Traor©.

The Burkinabe community in Ghana expressed gratitude towards the Ghanaian participants and reiterated its backing for Captain Traor©. The community also called on the African Union to ensure his safety, viewing him as a strategic asset for Africa.

The march coincided with Africa Day celebrations, which this year focused on the theme: "Justice for Africans and People of African Descent through Reparations." The theme underscores the ongoing calls for truth, justice, and reparations related to historical injustices such as slavery and colonialism.
