Hound© CMA Staff Halt Work After Assault on Colleague

Hound©: Health workers at the Hound© Medical Center with Surgical Unit (CMA) observed a temporary work stoppage on the morning of Monday, April 14, 2025, to protest the physical assault of one of their colleagues that occurred last weekend, AIB learned.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the incident happened on Saturday, April 12, at around 6 p.m., when the officer, while on duty, was beaten by a patient's companion. The staff deemed the act "unacceptable" and organized a sit-in to express their indignation and highlight the rise in attacks against health workers in Hound©.

During the sit-in, the workers urged health and administrative authorities to enhance the safety measures for staff during their duties. A health worker at the sit-in confirmed that the administration had already filed a complaint against the attacker.

Additionally, it was reported that Souleymane Dianda, president of the special communal delegation of Hound© and mandated by the high commissioner of the province of Tuy, committed to ensuring the case is followed through to its conclusion. The sit-in was concluded at 10 a.m.
