Bobo-Dioulasso , (AIB)-The Minister in charge of Culture, Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, chaired, on Monday March 13, 2023 in Bobo-Dioulasso, a reflection workshop on the organization of the 20th edition of the National Week Culture (SNC) and Regional Culture Weeks (SRC), scheduled from April 29 to May 6, 2023.

With a view to proposing a format for the holding of the 20th edition of the National Culture Week (SNC) and to launch the preparations for the organization of the Regional Culture Weeks (SRC) 2023 and the SNC 2024, the Ministry in charge of Culture brought together the various actors around a reflection workshop on Monday March 13, 2023 in Bobo-Dioulasso.

Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo indicated that this workshop is a framework for reflection that will help to lay the foundations for a successful organization of the next editions of the SNC, despite the security difficulties that Burkina Faso is going through.

“In the current context of our country, we must call on our culture and our cultural values to consolidate peace, social cohesion, national unity for the economic and social development of Burkina Faso,” he said. launched to the participants.

Listening to him, this edition of the SNC, postponed several times, will be that of resilience.

Because, said the Minister, it will be adapted to the security context, while keeping the outline of the event.

“It is therefore not a discount edition, but rather a full-fledged event that will meet the aspirations of all Burkinabè,” he argued.

He therefore nourished the hope that the dynamism and professionalism of the participants will help to meet the challenge of organizing this edition and to propose other alternatives for future editions.

Indeed, the actors will have the task of proposing, not only a format that is best suited for the organization of the 20th SNC and the SRCs, but also to define the content of the activities of the next edition of the SNC 2024.
