Windhoek: Hong Kong recorded more than 36 million tourist arrivals in the first three quarters of 2025, marking a 12 percent rise from a year earlier, data from the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) showed Wednesday.
According to Namibia Press Agency, arrivals from the Chinese mainland increased by 11 percent, reaching approximately 28 million during the January-September period. Visitors from non-mainland markets also saw a significant jump, rising 16 percent to 8.5 million, as reported by the HKTB in a statement.
In September alone, visitor arrivals reached nearly 3.3 million, showing an 8 percent increase year-on-year. The HKTB mentioned plans to organize more events and activities in the coming months, aiming to attract even more tourists to Hong Kong.
