Luanda: The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation (MESCTI) officially announced the opening of the application period for the 2nd Edition of the 2025 National Science and Innovation Award.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the competition will be contested in the categories of Science, Innovation, Invention, Career, Women Scientists, Young Scientists, Young Innovators, and Young Inventors. The aim is to encourage and recognize the contribution of researchers, inventors, and innovators to Angola’s development.
The Award seeks to stimulate creativity and innovation in the areas of science and technology for the development of Angola, focusing on fields such as natural sciences, medical and health sciences, agriculture, veterinary sciences, social sciences, humanities, and art. It also aims to foster a culture of scientific and technological research.
Eligible individuals, groups, or institutions with work that contributes to valuable and relevant areas can apply between July 3 and August 3, 2025. Applications are to be submitted via email to [email protected].
The submitted work must be of public interest and contribute to solving local or national problems. It must adhere to scientific rigor, equal treatment, and the principle of impartiality, ensuring that the evaluation of the work remains unbiased and objective, avoiding conflicts of interest.
