High Commissioner Urges Workers to Drive Tuy’s Economic Transformation

Tuy: The High Commissioner of Tuy province, Issiaka Segda, called on workers to intensify their efforts with determination, professionalism, and patriotism during the monthly raising of the national colors. The event took place at the Tuy Provincial Directorate of Preschool, Primary and Non-Formal Education. Segda emphasized the importance of work as a lever for economic and social transformation within the province.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Issiaka Segda praised the contributions of workers from various socio-professional categories, including public servants, private sector participants, artisans, and informal sector operators, to the economic vitality of Tuy. He highlighted their active role in ensuring the continuity of public services, the production of goods and services, and the strengthening of the local economic fabric.

Despite facing numerous constraints, Segda acknowledged the workers' commitment and resilience. He emphasized the need for a collective reflection on the culture of quality work, underscoring values such as integrity, discipline, responsibility, and teamwork as essential to building an effective administration and resilient economy.

The High Commissioner also commended the staff of the provincial education directorate for their significant role in training future generations and fostering sustainable development. Ladji Ouattara, the provincial director of preschool, primary, and non-formal education, expressed satisfaction with hosting the ceremony and discussed the accomplishments and challenges related to the Certificate of Primary Education exams.

The subsequent monthly flag-raising ceremony is scheduled to take place on Monday, June 1, 2026, at the Hounde town hall.
