High Commissioner Urges Loroum Residents to Back Faso Mebo Initiative

Loroum: The High Commissioner of Loroum Province, Captain Djibril Bassole, has urged local residents to fully support the presidential initiative, Faso Mebo, during the traditional monthly flag-raising ceremony held in Titao.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Captain Bassole emphasized the importance of operationalizing the Faso initiative in the region, encouraging the community to rally behind this national development effort. The Faso Mebo initiative, launched on November 18, 2025, in the Yaadga region, seeks to foster regional development, with specific sites identified in the Gondolgo and Somyaga districts of Ouahigouya to facilitate contributions.

The initiative has been gaining traction, and Captain Bassole expressed his desire for Loroum to actively participate and not lag behind other regions. He appealed to the province's residents to become leading contributors.

Additionally, Captain Bassole addressed the potato festival, assuring that the intention to organize it would be communicated to higher authorities for further decisions. Bintou Kagone, head of OSC, expressed pride in the flag-raising ceremonies, noting that they provide valuable information about provincial life and urged public participation.

Souleymane Zango also supported the authorities' commitment to ensuring regular supplies to the commune of Solle, a move welcomed by the community.
