DANO: The High Commissioner of the Ioba province, Innocent Ouattara, has called on the local population to rally behind presidential development initiatives. In his New Year’s address delivered on Friday, December 27, 2024, in Dano, Ouattara emphasized the importance of such support for advancing Burkina Faso’s sovereignty and development.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Ouattara described 2025 as a crucial year for reflection and hope for the nation. He urged citizens to mobilize alongside the nation’s defense and security forces, as well as volunteers dedicated to the defense of the homeland, in efforts aimed at reclaiming national territory and restoring peace.
Ouattara highlighted the necessity of unity in overcoming challenges and achieving shared goals. He commended the resilience and solidarity exhibited by the people of Ioba over the past year, noting significant achievements such as the reopening of all closed schools and the resettlement of over 5,700 internally displaced persons.
The High Commissioner lauded the defense and security forces and volunteers for their dedication and the positive results they have attained. He extended gratitude to all contributors who have worked to improve living conditions in the region and expressed his condolences to the victims of terrorism.
Ouattara concluded his message with aspirations for a year filled with hope, health, success, and happiness for the Burkinabe people.
