High Commissioner of Baz¨ga Visits Traditional and Religious Leaders for New Year Greetings

Baz¨ga: The High Commissioner of Baz¨ga Province, T©n© Justine Kientega/Ilboudo, embarked on a tour to extend New Year's greetings to the traditional and religious authorities of the province. The initiative, which began on Saturday, January 10, 2026, aimed to foster stronger collaborative ties with these leaders.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the High Commissioner visited several key figures, including Naba Saaga, Chief of the Kombissiri canton, and Naba Sigri, Chief of the Tuili canton and President of the Baz¨ga Traditional Chiefs Consultation Framework. The delegation also made stops at the Saint Joseph the Worker Parish in Kombissiri and the Apostolic Church. Here, they met with the President and members of the Executive Board of the Federation of Evangelical Churches and Missions of Baz¨ga. However, the visit to the Muslim community leaders was postponed due to recent bereavements within the community.

During these visits, the High Commissioner expressed the provincial administration's gratitude and extended New Year's greetings. The interactions emphasized appreciation for the leaders' support, advice, and blessings, which are vital for peace, social cohesion, and the province's development. In return, the visited authorities offered prayers and encouragement for the administrative missions serving the populace.
