High Commissioner Jean Baptiste Beogo Launches Civic and Patriotic Education in Gnagna

Gnagna: The High Commissioner of the Gnagna province, Jean Baptiste Beogo, launched on Tuesday at the Bantia municipal high school in Bogand© the first phase of Civic and Patriotic Education (ECP) intended for students in intermediate classes, with the aim of strengthening discipline, civic-mindedness and love of country among young people.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the initiative is part of the national refounding dynamic undertaken by the Government since the decree of June 24, 2025, and aims to extend to the entire school community the values transmitted during the patriotic immersion of 2025.

High Commissioner Jean Baptiste Beogo stated that the ECP aims to train responsible, united citizens deeply committed to the Nation through learning order and discipline, respect for the symbols of the Republic, teamwork, community spirit, and the rejection of incivility. The provincial authority commended the commitment of the security forces, teachers, and all supervisors.

The ceremony, which included the participation of the constituted bodies of the province of Gnagna, featured close-order demonstrations performed by students under the guidance of instructors from the Defense and Security Forces (FDS).

Present at the ceremony, the Provincial Director of Secondary Education and Vocational and Technical Training, Tiewend© J. Balima, encouraged all stakeholders to mobilize for the program's success.

Following the event at Bantia Municipal High School, the delegation visited the Bogand© Provincial High School to raise awareness among students and encourage teaching staff to effectively implement the ECP (Education for Citizenship and Professional Development).
