Gnagna: High Commissioner Jean Baptiste Beogo visited the Rapid Intervention Battalion (BIR) 19 barracks on December 31, 2025, to commend the fighting forces for their achievements in reclaiming national territory.

According to Burkina Information Agency, High Commissioner Jean Baptiste Beogo, accompanied by his team, expressed gratitude from both authorities and citizens to the forces engaged in the field. He praised their bravery, determination, and sacrifice against adversaries.

In his address, Beogo congratulated BIR 19 for their operational successes, achieved through coordinated efforts with allied forces, which have been pivotal in weakening adversaries and bolstering security in the province and beyond. "Today, the last day of the year, we must all stand together. Thanks to your actions and the support of our sister forces, the enemy is searching for its next target," he stated, encouraging continued commitment and zeal for future achievements.

The High Commissioner also wished the fighting forces courage, health, and divine protection, hoping for divine guidance in their mission to defend territorial integrity and protect the population. This year-end visit serves as a strong act of moral and institutional support for the Defense and Security Forces committed to combating insecurity and restoring peace in Burkina Faso.
