Bale: High Commissioner Martin Bako presided over the opening of the third session of the academic year for the Bal© Provincial Directorate of Secondary, Vocational, and Technical Education. In this regard, the High Commissioner commended and praised the commitment of those involved in education to promoting and implementing the ideals and initiatives of the People's Progressive Revolution (RPP) within educational and vocational training units.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the work of the 3rd session of the school year brought together the heads of secondary schools, the heads of public and private vocational training centers, representatives of trade union structures, and the school council, in addition to the heads of internal services of the provincial directorate. The opening ceremony was presided over by the High Commissioner of the province, who took the opportunity to congratulate those involved in the education system for their dedication to supporting and achieving results throughout the year in the transition classes and for their commitment to expanding and implementing the ideals of the progressive popular revolution in the province.
The statutory framework for actors in secondary education and vocational and technical training enabled the provincial director, Soulama K©l©tigui, to share administrative information from national and regional educational authorities and establishments in the province with participants. The head of secondary education and vocational training praised the calm and peaceful atmosphere within the teaching and training units throughout the school year, which allowed for the smooth running of educational activities. He also invited the heads of institutions and training centers to be defenders of the decisions coming from the highest authorities in their locality and to invest themselves for a successful implementation.
In addition, the work of this 3rd steering committee provided stakeholders with an overview of the educational activities of the 2nd quarter of the ten municipalities originating from the province. To better plan for the coming school year, the human resources department reviewed the staffing needs and capacity of facilities. With school exams just days away, the exams and competitions department shared information regarding their organization.
The various points on the council's agenda were discussed. Furthermore, social partners, school principals, and heads of internal departments also shared concerns and offered suggestions for improving school administration. The council meeting took place in a friendly atmosphere and concluded with the provincial director, Mr. Soulama, congratulating and encouraging the participants. He also wished the candidates a successful session and urged all those involved in organizing the exams to carry out their duties in accordance with regulations.
