High Commissioner Aminata Sorgho/Gouba Initiates Second Edition of Patriotic Commitment Days in Zorgho

Zorgho: The High Commissioner of Ganzourgou Province, Aminata Sorgho/Gouba, officially launched the second edition of the Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation (JEPPC) on Tuesday. The ceremony was held at the Zorgho High Commission, featuring a solemn raising of the colors, in the presence of the province's key forces.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Ms. Sorgho/Gouba delivered a message from the President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, which centered on the theme: "For order and discipline, I commit myself." The Head of State commended the patriotic spirit of the Burkinabe people and encouraged them to enhance their commitment to order and discipline.

"The revolution is a state of mind, discipline, and order," stated the head of state, highlighting the importance of citizens adhering to rules established for national sovereignty. He expressed concern over the actions of some compatriots who "prefer to eschew order and discipline" while expecting quality services and exemplary leadership.

President Traor© called for a "radical break" from behaviors that hinder the country's development, stressing the need for responsible management of public resources. He emphasized that "any dissipated funds constitute a criminal act," urging Burkinabe people to take a stand against corruption.

In his remarks to the fighters engaged on the front, he commended their sense of duty and discipline, reminding that "nothing solid can be built in disorder."

The commencement of the JEPPC in Zorgho marks the start of a series of activities aimed at bolstering civic and patriotic awareness until April 9, 2025.
