High Commissioner Advocates for Psychological Support in K©n©dougou Remand Center


K©n©dougou: The High Commissioner of K©n©dougou Province, Sadou Sakira, presided over the traditional monthly flag-raising ceremony at the Orodara Detention and Correctional Facility (MACO) this Wednesday. He emphasized the need for psychological support for inmates during their detention.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony, held at 7:30 a.m., saw the participation of the constituted bodies of K©n©dougou province, led by High Commissioner Sadou Sakira. The attendees sang the national anthem to reaffirm their sense of belonging to the homeland.



The Director of MACO, Paul Kabor©, extended a warm welcome to the High Commissioner and other officials present. He expressed that hosting the ceremony was an honor for the facility. Kabor© also provided a brief overview of his department and highlighted some challenges faced by the staff in their duties.



High Commissioner Sadou Sakira expressed his appreciation for the hospitality shown by the Orodara prison authorities. He assured the attendees that he would communicate the concerns raised by Director Kabor© to the relevant authorities for potential solutions. Sakira reiterated the need for psychological support for the inmates, highlighting its importance during their time in detention.
