Zondoma: The High Commissioner of Zondoma province has praised the region’s vital forces for their efforts in combating insecurity, during a flag-raising ceremony at the Gourcy high commission on January 13, 2025. High Commissioner Aboubacar Sidiki Nab© expressed his appreciation for their commitment, which he credits for pushing back the terrorist threats that have greatly impacted the province.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the High Commissioner acknowledged the challenges faced by the population in 2024, highlighting the difficulties in security, humanitarian, and economic aspects. However, he emphasized the crucial role played by the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), and the collective commitment of the community in overcoming these challenges. Nab© paid tribute to those who sacrificed for what he termed a “stage victory.”
Nab© encouraged continued unity and collaboration with the authorities to achieve further successes for the benefit of the province’s population. The flag-raising event marked the first of 2025 and provided an opportunity for the High Commissioner to extend his New Year wishes to the province’s vital forces.
