Tuy: The Hounde Gold Operation (HGO) mine and its partner Corica Mining Services handed over, on Thursday, December 4, 2025 in Hounde, a batch of furniture and computer equipment worth 20 million FCFA to the High Commission.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the atmosphere was filled with emotion at the High Commission, which received a significant donation of equipment including lounge furniture, chairs, desks, cabinets, computers, printers, photocopiers, video projectors, voltage regulators, and air conditioners. Valued at 20 million CFA francs, the equipment was received by High Commissioner Issiaka Segda, in the presence of directors and heads of departments, religious and traditional leaders, and members of the community watch group.

Upon receiving the donation, High Commissioner Issiaka Segda expressed his joy and pride. He explained that the High Commission's equipment had become outdated, prompting a request to the Hounde Gold Operation mine. He stated that this equipment will strengthen the operational capacities of the services, motivate staff, and improve the working environment. He thanked HGO and Corica Mining Services.

The representative of the Managing Director of Corica Mining Services, Aboubacar Eric Sieba, indicated that this donation is part of the company's corporate social responsibility. He explained that the objective is to provide a more functional work environment and improve the service conditions of the High Commission. He expressed his hope that the equipment would be used wisely. Mr. Sieba also commended Endeavour Mining's social policy, which he considered inspiring for partners committed to supporting local communities.

The representative of HGO's Managing Director, Nasse Ouedraogo, noted that this donation was in response to a request from the local authorities. He emphasized that Corica Mining Services had agreed to support HGO in this endeavor. According to him, this gesture aligns with sustainable development initiatives and reflects the commitment to corporate social responsibility between the two companies. He expressed HGO's satisfaction in contributing to the improvement of working conditions at the High Commission.

Corica Mining Services is a company engaged in mining services (excavation, transport of ores and mining drilling) in Burkina Faso since 2015. Its partnership with HGO began in 2016 in the province of Tuy, where it is involved in several activities.
